Neuronavigation systems enable accurate planning, targeting and monitoring for brain stimulation studies using TMS and tDCS. They can also be used for 3D localisation of Neuroimaging systems such as EEG and NIRS.These techniques offer researchers the ability to:

  • Accurately and consistently place a TMS coil over a curvilinear reconstruction of the brain
  • Precisely record position, orientation and physiological outputs (EMG, EEG, NIRS) associated with a specific site of the brain
  • Automate TMS coil placement and tracking using a dedicated TMS Robot

Brainsight TMS is a revolutionary product used in over 500 laboratories worldwide. It enables a TMS coil to be positioned over a specified target location based upon an individual’s MRI image, MRI generated 3D curvilinear reconstruction of the brain or MNI average head model brain.

Targets for stimulation can be identified by manually selecting and highlighting the desired structure or location or by combining MRI images with areas of activity highlighted with fMRI, EEG or NIRS.
